I was born and raised in the West Midlands before moving to Sheffield in 2000.

The original plan was to go to uni and become an archaeologist. However, instead of doing this I promptly fell apart, quit uni & dropped off the face of the earth.

After meeting Marcus and falling in love I started rebuilding myself. I'd already met Tom through mutual friends in the first year of uni & later became flatmates.

One evening, after hearing a highly intoxicated Nelly warbling in the kitchen, Tom asked me if I would like to sing in the band he wanted to put together and soon we'd written many of the songs that appear on the first album.

However, shyness prevented the idea of gigging and nothing much happened until Marcus got drafted in on bass. I'd always loved singing, mostly folk songs, but never considered doing it in public (sober!) Being in a band gives people a chance to face their confidence issues head on, now the problem is getting me to shut up!
