Although I’m a trained musician I taught myself to play guitar at the age of 13 and joined my first band at 15.

I was in various bands while at school and then moved to Sheffield to spend 4 years struggling through a Physics degree. Spent my first couple of years at uni trying to put a band together, but never really found the right people, so started recording demos myself and experimenting with programming electronic music.

I met Nel when we briefly shared a flat and one drunken night we decided to try writing some songs and see where it went.

I gave her some demo's I'd been playing with, she put vocals on a couple of songs and out of that Dyonisis grew.

These days I'm doing my best to avoid ever getting a proper job, and the best way I've found to do that is being in a band........if only we can make a living out of it…. and I like cheese.
